He soon gained the friendship of all the students. VVhen baseball season opened, he was one of the first to report and soon showed his ability as a ball player. Smith indulged in the great winter sport of Soccer. As a ladies man, we are almost unable to judge from the Lancaster side of the affair, but in Shoemakers- ville he might be different.
