At- tended public schools at New Berlin and entered Central Pennsylvania College Know consolidated with Albright College, Myerstown, Pa.D in the spring of 1899, attended this school three years, after teaching two years finished at Bloomsburg State Normal School in 1906, taught in the public schools of Netcong, N. J., and Natrona, Pa., for a period of eight years. Married Martin W. Witmer August 16, 1913. Took two courses in German at the University of Penn- sylvania in the summer of IXQI4.
