THE WJOURNALISM CLUB The Journalism Club of 1956 carried on a long tradition and this year produced, under the guidance of Mrs. Elizabeth Youman, one of the finest volumes of the Franklin Press in the school's history. Establishing another Franklin First. the Debating Club, under the leadership of Mr. R. J. Elliott, proved that they meant business by pre- senting an Assembly about Benjamin Franklin. Invited to participate in two tournaments, they declined for they felt as this was their first year, they were unprepared. Next year they will compete. 20

The perenially popular Science Club was tl1e largest club in Franklin this year.
