Early in the year, many members spent a weekend at Deer Valley. Our Student Council, comprised of one representative from each home- room, and under the sponsorship of Mr. Lozier, is the main link between the faculty and the students. The Stu- dent Council was quite active this year, with the raising of the gates in the morning and looking into a better dis- ciplinary policy for the school. They also sponsored the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance; the proceeds of which went to the American Field Service Scholarship Fund. Rubright. Being one of the largest clubs in the school, the F. T. A.’s purpose is to plan and carry out ac- tivities pertaining to the teaching profession. Included in this year's agenda were an initiation tea in September, several guest speakers, two faculty teas, and a Field trip to a local college.
