Our Student Council, comprised of one representative from each home- room, and under the sponsorship of Mr. Lozier, is the main link between the faculty and the students. The Stu- dent Council was quite active this year, with the raising of the gates in the morning and looking into a better dis- ciplinary policy for the school. They also sponsored the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance; the proceeds of which went to the American Field Service Scholarship Fund. The Franklin Chapter of the National Thespi- an Society is one of the thousands in the country established for the advancement of dramatic arts in the secondary schools. However, ours is proba- bly one of the most productive. Under the pa- tient guidance of Mr. Plischkc, this year it pres- ented several one-act plays, a children’s play, sponsored various field trips and an induction tea. Early in the year, many members spent a weekend at Deer Valley.
