Class History NINTH GRADE As the class of ’66 started into the last year of junior high, the following people were chosen as their class of- ficers: President, Les Lanyon, Vice-President, George Kem- erer, and Secretary, Sherry Donato. To make money to add to the class treasury, the class sold cashews. The climax of the year, the “Cinderella Ball” was held in the cafeteria, during which Les Lanyon and Nancy Lohmann reigned as Prince and Princess of the dance. Promotion exercises were held in the gymnasium the day after the dance. TENTH GRADE The biggest event of the class of ’66 as sopho- mores was the annual trip to Gettysburg. Although the trip was to be an educational one, the class members had more fun teasing the congenial bus sponsors. At a class meeting early in the year, Andy Noble, Jeff Riley, and Marsha Phillips were chosen as class officers. As sophomores, it was a class responsibility to sponsor the Valentine’s dance, “The Sweetheart Swing,” which we did successfully. Marsha Phillips and Nancy Lohmann were chosen as May Day representatives that year. Eugene Zecker and Bob DeSantis served as respective es- corts. TWELFTH GRADE ELEVENTH GRADE The junior year of the class of ’66 proved to be the most successful and a most enjoyable one. Les Lanyon was elected as class president again, with Joe Rupert as Vice-President, and Nancy Lohmann as Secretary, to help him carry the heavy load that was to be our responsibility that year. To raise money we sold Franklin sweatshirts, and we held a bake sale during the class play. The junior dance, “Bewitched,” was a success and a unique idea of serving cider and donuts at the dance was established. The Junior Class Play, directed by Mr. Jacobs, was “The Night of January 16th.” Judy Grable and Autumn Justice with Alan Bates and Eugene Zecker as escorts represented the junior class in the May court. The most success- ful event of the year was the Junior Prom, “Carou- sel.” The committee of forty people began planning in early March for what was to be the “most suc- cessful prom in five years.” Gerry Regrut was Prom Queen and Vicki Dubrock was Prom Prin- cess. To end their high-school days, the class of ’66 chose Mark Bush, Joe Rupert, and Nancy Lohmann to lead them to their final goal—graduation. The two senior dances were “Plymouth Rock,” and “Noel By Night.” To make money the seniors sold license plates, and sponsored a bake sale during the class play. “The Man Who Came To Dinner” the successful play, had as leads Rex Peppel and Nancy Lohmann. Elaine Hoener and Joe Rupert, the “might-mites,” were chosen as Student Council leaders who did a fine job of governing the student body. End of the year activi- ties for which the seniors are eagerly awaiting are the Washington trip, and the senior banquet. 6
