Table of Contents SETTING ... Set in our spacious lawn among stately trees our beautiful school is the nucleus of this dramatic story. Within its walls and crowded corridors we have mingled, chatted, studied, danced, and laughed our way to the end. We shall always remember the exciting ball games and the beautiful dances in our school gym. In our trophy case in the hall there is a reminder of the Championship Team of ’51. Other scenes will change, but this Setting— this Franklin—will remain as a pillar of wisdom, a pearl of reminiscences. CHARACTERS . . . We are the real characters in this story. We are the scared freshmen, the giggling sophomores, the excited juniors, and the dignified seniors. Each of us seniors, in different degrees of appreciation, approaches the last proofreading of his school record. We hope that those records are good blueprints of our characters, our attitudes, and our sportsmanship. PLOT . . . Our story has had an intriguing plot, for each of us has planned his school life differently. Some plotted for good grades; others, for fun and play. How- ever, we all believe that we have had a splendid class spirit, that we have cooperated with our teachers, and that we have learned to see the best in the other fellow. LOCAL COLOR . . . Our flashy cheerleaders in all modesty have added their encouraging cheers to the blue and gold. Their spirits are always high whether we are winning or losing. This small group is the synthesis, the core, the heart of the morale of our school.
