Bertha Rice Head Secretary Velma Bosworth l Our Vice-Principal Speaks Progress is a glorious word. We usually think of progress in terms of automobiles and television, or in terms of atomic power and rockets to outer space. At Franklin, progress is symbolized by the beautiful additions and improvements that are cur- rently being constructed. However, true progress for the individual is not a collection of material things, It is an im- provement of the mind the attitude the character. It is the result of work that ts done in our beautl ful new building it is not the building itself After our remodeling every department will be greatly improved Let us pledge ourselves to keep the building new and to use it well Let us dedicate ourselves to a full utilization ot all of Franklin s facilities so that we may develop those qualities which will enable us to progress and improve all during our lives Progress is for tomorrow but it must be built today DONALD S MEANS The Stall Constance Morrison Guidance Secretary Normand Hebert Assistant Secretary Ruth Babcock Librarian Daisy Broderick Library Secretary Helen Olin Attendance Secretary Custodian Edith Halbert Lunchroom Manager Dorothy Ekholm Nurse Helen Wettleson Study Hall
