Principal Young people, look to the future! Can you picture your- self fifty years from now, looking backward to appraise the true wealth of the life you have lived? What would you like to see spelled out in the history of your own life? Would you evaluate your life on the basis of the number of dollars you had taken in, or perhaps the number you had been able to retain? Would you set some other material cri- terion, such as jewelry, furs, or other luxuries? Would your goal have been to create new ideas or new products to add to the convenience or comfort of your neighbors? Would the actual construction of buildings, appliances, or machines have been your contribution? Would you gain your satisfac- tion from raising a farrrily by good Christian principles? Our principal, Walter J. Reseburg, now stands at this crossroads. He is a man young in spirit and rich in experi- ence. He has many vital and useful years ahead of him. Let us take a quick look at the accomplishment of his career. We see 45 years of dedicated service to Franklin High Schoolg over 20,000 students have been influenced by his philosophyg people in all walks of life have become more valuable citi- zens because of himg he has been genuinely beloved by all who have known himg he has made this world a more beau- tiful and pleasant place in which to live.
