5ran in Scdool Building In September, 1927, the doors of Franklin High School were opened. It was a proud day for those who had worked long and faithfully for the realization of this dream. Through these doors came boys and girls from many homes—eager and shy, studious, gay, ambitious and con¬ tented. In this school they grew up, their lives shaped and directed. Franklin didn ' t have all the answers to their problems, but always they found understanding, help and opportunity. From these doors have gone men and women to all walks of life cariy’ing in their hearts the Franklin spirit. Established long ago and nurtured through the years, this spirit helped them learn to do a job well, to give of themselves unselfislily, and to deal fairly with others. Yes, Franklin left its imprint on the lives of hundreds of boys and girls. Years afterward, they look back with pride and joy and say, This was Franklin; this was my ' school. 10
