Bobby Lou McCraw, Rosa Nichols and Wanda Lou Golding are the leading forwards, with able support from Esther Nichols, Nancy Nichols, Sally Ann Venable, and Margaret Carter. Outstanding guards are Mary Felts, Annie Laura Lambert, and Thelma Hanks. Guards who are gaining experience are Betty Bunker, Annie Belle Webb, Patricia Gordon, Peggy Hall, and Doris Nichols. By January 15, the Maroon and Grey lassies had won 12 and lost 3 games. It looks as if Coach Jimmie Hiatt is on his way toward another championship.

Because of his mother’s illness, Edgar Draughn has had to miss several games. Despite this, and facing a tough schedule, Coach Hiatt has come through with a record of ten victories while losing four as of January 15. The new men who are showing up well are Roger Jones, Buddy Hutchens, Alfred Gardner, Albert McHone, Benton Wagoner, Eldridge Belton, Woodrow Beamer and Donald Nichols.
