For the festivities at the first football game, the students of Franklin chose the i966 Homecom- ing Court. At the annual home- coming dance, senior Chris Walsh was crowned queen. At the Franklin-Grant Foot- ball game, Chris was presented to the crowd ina convertible driven by Franklin chemistry teacher Mr. Fletcher. Following in a second car were the three princesses: Elaine Schibel, iunior, Nancy Stoutenburg,sophomore, and Joann Vassar, Freshman. The Queen and her court were escorted by Mike Johnson, senior class vice-pres- identp .left Furnish, iunior class president, Bob Marshall, sopho- more class president, and Mike Nakata, president of Friars. and Rally Squad Setting Pace for Spirited Year. Student body vice-president Mike G a l l u c ci introduced the years activities with the first pep assembly on September 9. The highlights included the presentations of the foreign ex- change student, theteam, and the fall football princesses: Joa nn Vassar, Nancy Stoutenburg, Elaine Schibel, and Chris Walsh. The i966-67 PepClub outfits, gray A-line skirt topped by maroon sweaters with the Pep e m b l em , were modeled by the officers. Franklin's first football-wres- tling rallysquad appeared wearing the new rally uniforms and intro- duced theofficers. Summoning the team to the stage, the rally squad and an avid audience showed Quaker spirit.
