The next event was the Father- Daughter Banquet, Pass the Pasta, Papa. The Italian dinner attended by more than 200 dads and daugh- ters, was the biggest success of its kind in AGS history., Another important event For AGS was the distribution, to the freshman and transferred girls, of a booklet explaining the purpose and activities of AGS, rules of expected behavior, and a copy ofthe AGS song. AFM week, Wild Things Part I, featuredadifferent event each day: candy, slaves, game tags, and card salesallwere profitable. The climax came on Friday in a special assembly featuring the Fabulous Epix, a popular six-piece combo. Egyone who purchased an AFM card attended this event. Motions were passed that girls who earn varsity letters will receive pins instead of trad- ional letters, and thatstudentbody officers other than the president can run again For office., An important event was the hosting of Jackson High School's Executive Cabinet. Fund raising projects were planned to buy card tables. Franklin students learn democratic procedure and support candidates by voting in Student Body elections. 18
