For the interested student, there is enjoyment and satisfaction in acquiring these basic skills to prepare for a possible career inthe field of art. The wide selection of courses includes a variety of craft Works inmetal, ceramics, textiles, and interior design. Open to persons with no previous art experience is an art understanding class., This course helps the student to understand art and appreciate its value in a modern society. Today we are surrounded by art in many new shapes and forms. The art depart- ment satisfies and develops an appreci- ation of the beauty and color not only in creative design, but also in the nat- ural world.
