Q, X h, ...Changing attitudes in curriculum have per- haps affected Franklin more than any other change. The curriculum has expanded from an offering of only the basic courses to a program of broad and varied subjects. Such specialized courses as photography, drama, interiorzdecorating, Russian history, and art understanding, now being offered, provide enough diversity to satisfy the manifold interests of more than two thousand students. Franklin has seen girls in styles ranging from tight-curled hairdoes and bloomers, to ratted bouttants and checkered knee-length stock- ings, ithas seen boys in outfits ranging from knic- kers ancl golf caps to contoured slacks and crew cuts. X m ii, Q1 QV gi? i . . .Throughout Franklin's history, athletics have occupied the spare time of many students. On most Friday evenings during the tall and winter, nearly haltthe studentbody can be found cheering for the football and basketball teams. Within the last ten years, they have been able to root for the basketball team at Five state championships, and see the team take this title twice. During the week, Franklinites may be seen at choir and play rehearsals, at committee meetings for dances and assemblies. 11 f 25.
