IN MEMORIAM . . . to Mr. Arlon Bogard, beloved teacher, who died of arheart attack on April 3, 1958, while rehearsing the Franklin High School Orchestra for the Easter Assembly. Mr. Bogard taught in the Portland Public School System for twenty years. In this time he made a name highly honored and much loved by all those who came to know him. In his nineteen years at Washington High School he was a consistent winner. He brought many honors to himself and the schools in which he taught. Although Mr. Bogard had been at Franklin for only a short.time, he had gained the admiration, respect, and love of every member of the faculty and students. We realize the death of Mr. Bogard is a great loss to his family, as it is also a great loss to our school and city. We are sure that his fine example of achievement will live long in the memory of persons who knew him.
