Where is the future, the great unknown? and where will we be when we are grown? Jfs around the corner and down the street Jfs in the eyes we dared not meet Jt starts in what man gives to child And grows into what ' s free and wild Jt goes abroad on holiday Jt teaches us what doesn ' t pay Where can we f ind, in all that space Zhat clarifies the human race, Syes that are true or souls quite pure Or innocence outside heart ' s door? Mow can we see and recognize Zhat purity? and realize Zhat that was it and not let go Zhe one good thing we all should know Zhat thing, my friends, is truth and still We walk ' round it of our free will Jar too afraid to hold on tight, Zo really look, for fear we might Mot quite like what we will see Preferring sweet dreams to reality Dreams are a staple of mind and of song But, on a dream, can our lives move along? Mo soul can make it on daydreams alone We all need a truth we can find on our own So when the heartaches of life drag you down Zhere ' s your home base and it ' s right on the ground ] ou can fly with your dreams way up in the air Knowing if s honesty that got you up there Or you can stumble and never know why Without honest dreams, your life is a lie . .
