Latin Club, under the guidance of Mrs. Eleanor Kenney ; effectively com¬ bines the study of classical languages with fun. Club members hold activities and take trips which help to enrich their classical background. Among their annual activi¬ ties are the Book Fair, trips to plays and museums, and a trip to the Massachusetts Junior Classical League Convention, the conclave of Massachusetts Latin Clubs. Dur¬ ing the past year the Latin Club has donated twenty-five dollars to the Franklin Youth Council and a two hundred dollar scholarship at graduation. This group of F.H.S. young people did just that and under the direction of Mr. Donald Iacovelli, are quite good at it. In June the Chorus will lose eleven lilting voices when Linda Patterson, Marion Miller, Linda Duvall, Maret Lukk, Cindy Ribero, Karen Robichau, Suzy Ducey, Sharon Campus, Glenn Prentice, Mark Melanson, John Melo, and Glen Woloski receive their diplomas. 89 SECRETARY’S CLUB This newly formed F.H.S. club is thriving with the help of Mrs. Takoohy Reizan, their advisor. Its members worked very hard to build a float for Thanks¬ giving by devoting their time and energy to its in-the-barn construction. Mrs. Judith D’Aniello has offered her services as advisor of the club and has come up with many new and exciting ideas for the S.P.C. to perform. Though the seniors were lacking in court time they showed their spirit and love of the game. k; H S3 Chris CO-CAPTAINS Rob INDOOR TRACK The Panthers had a winning Indoor Track season this year, outscoring their op¬ ponents and compiling a record of 5-4. Seniors John Pizzi and Mark Melanson paved the way. Next year’s team, under the guidance of Coach Bob Avakian, should have a fine season because of the great showing of the Juniors and Sophomores. The girls’ basketball team completed a very successful 9-4 season. Thre e of the four games were real thrillers, losing by a margin of two or three points.
