We Become More Creative Through Language Arts The language arts program, in preparing students for a creative and responsible life in a democracy, is of paramount importance. Through language arts, students learn the important art of communication- vivid speech, intelligible writing, appreciative listening, the skillful use of books, and reading with comprehension. Mrs. Johnson r- Mrs. Thorpe teaches Eng- lish V and English 1; Mrs. Johnson, English IV and English IE; Miss Evans, English I and English n. Mrs. Jackson and Mr. Vess also teach classes of Eng- lish II and English in. Mrs. Thorpe Miss Evans We Become Better Informed Through the Library Reading maketh a full man ; it opens up many avenues of learning. Through books we make many new friends and visit far away countries. Attractive displays of current books awaken the interest of students to read more books. With her cooperation and her willing- ness to help, Mrs. Gadberry has encouraged many students to do their best work.
