In troduction Wheels require energy to produce motion. Our lives also require energy to produce motion. We must have this essential energy in the forms of faith, hope, initiative, and ambition. We should constantly push forward, take on new responsibilities, accept new challenges, and strive for im¬ provement. We must seek newer and higher goals to which we should aspire, continuously endeavoring to attain these and set up even higher ones. In the future, to excel will be to succeed. The Laurel Leaf Staff of 1962 feels that as you step out into this modern, different world, you should apply the en¬ ergy within you to the fullest, remain dauntless of disappoint¬ ment and attempt to improve and progress further.
