Edward J. Whitmire - sponsor of the future farmers of Amerioa of franklin High Sohool and teacher of vocational agriculture, graduated from N. C. St ,e College with a B.S. degree. His home town is Brevard, N. C, His special interests are leaving everything a little better then he found it. Your time is worthless unless you use it. Mrs. Katharine M. O ' Neil - whose home-room is oomposed of eighth grade home economics girls, teaches home economics. She received her B.S. degree from Miohigan State Normal College. Her home town is franklin, N.C. She is especially interested in people, cooking, and Dr. O ' Neil. Uiss Helen koore - sponsor of freshman class, teaches General Soience and Physics. She received he t r B.S. degree in science from Winthrop, Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her home town is Chester, South Carolina. She is especially Interested in photography and music. It ' s an ill wind that blows nobody’good.’ H.C. Touts - teacher of history at f.H.S. graduated from the University of North Carolina with an A.B. degree in Education. His home town is frank -lln, N.C. His special interests are athletics and hunting. Kathryn P. Matthews — sponsor of the seventh grade, teaches English I and III and Seventh Grade Reading. She reoeived her A.B. degree from Woman ' s College of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro,N.C. Her hem town is franklin, N.C. Her special interests are reading, working oressword puzzles, and keeping house. Mrs. Sophia Albert - librarian at franklin High School, studied for three years at G.P.S. in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and for three years at Colum¬ bia University in New York. She majored in art, aad specialized in dram -atios. She aoted professionaly for five years. Her home town is Chat¬ tanooga, Tennessee. Her speoial Interest is dramatios, and the develop¬ ment of character of the franklin High Sohool pupils. •Any investment made in the youth oomes baok in valuable citizenship.
