GEORG E ELIOT As we close our sen-ior section, we are mindful of those members of Franklin lligh School who, although absent from our school, will he ever present in our memories. . The loss of many of our finest young people is a bitter inevitability. This year we have also lost three outstandig members of our faculty, Mr. Arthur Bates, Nr. Elmer Koster, and Mr. William Maxion. Their influence has enriched our livesg their devotion to their work has made our shool and our world better. To them and to the young men who have given and will give their lives in the service of our country we pledge our loyalty to the ideals which they Cherished. 21
