As far as monuments, Turin is like Baltimore in the states. il!lff' , ' 'i LL . T his year, Nanna attended her last year of scientific preparatory school in Turin, where she studied Italian, Latin, mathe- matics, physics, English, geography, philoso- phy, history, drawing, and physical educa- tion. At the end of the school year, she took a maturity exam, comparable to our col- lege entrance exams. Though I haven't quite made up my mind, I think I will en- ter the faculty of chemistry here in Turin. After the first two years, I might go to Milan to take the branch of biochemistry, or stay here and specialize in something else. As a whole, five years of university, and if all goes the right way, I'll be a doc- tor in chemistry. Then I'll get a job in a lab.
