In the classes they took the students developed their skills and talents that they already had, and in the process of learning vvere able to share and learn from each other. The teachers assisted the students in helping them to shar' pen their best qualities. All students were en- couraged to participate and do their best with A d ' Sficljinlifgucation various teaching methods used to fit different learning abilities for each student. Classes taught included food service, auto shop, lavvn and gardening, convalescent care, and mainte- nance service. Said Sandra Burise an aid to lVlr. Johnson, I feel the program is an essential to instill basic learning. lt begins with a storm and ends with a rainbow.

The program was developed to assist students facing changes in their lives due to moving. Faced with many changes in lifestyle, these students were helped through Nlr. Dovale's office to meet their educational requirements, and adjust to their lives here at Franklin and in Stockton. Mr. Dovale offered assistance and support as needed, and students found him a good friend when they needed help in adjusting to their challenging and at times bewildering new enviroment.
