Hsstory of the June Class of 1947 Our class has always been different even from the very first When September 2 rolled around we flatly refused to start school I was Sunday But on that first day In spite of the efforts of our good teachers to keep order confusion and pandemomum reigned But out of these first few confused days grew a certain something a fondness for our teachers W looked up to them for guidance and help I our hours of need a kindly word a vote of confidence a kick in the shlns a slap In the mouth In eighth grade we learned the wonders of Miss Schupperts swung while you sung or brawl while you bawl class Delbert Storm carelessly dropped his guard and was K O ed by Miss Schuppert Delbert still lnslsts that she threw the piano at hum Little Roger entered our class In eighth grade and one of the brightest members of our clan Ramona Gordon discovered that P D N E does not mean Please Do Not Expectorate Swing ng Into ninth grade English we found to our surprise Miss Walters kept cats In her desk drawers From each of our teachers we learned a llttle something From Mr Krldler the horrors of his ash paddle and no buts about it from Miss Harding s Johnny and Mary stories we learned the evils of llpstlck The following supers worked their way into Excellentla Pat Craemer Bill Wratten Jack Walker Jack Fletcher John Hoover Joanne Flennlken Margaret Foster Lula French Janet teson Norman Paulu and Pat Tracy Little Mac dld not make Excellentla In tenth grade we discovered that our class was loaded with Johns In fact It seemed that In every other seat there was a John It was during this year that Mass Lows classes rode through Latin on ponies and In Mr Deed s bl ologlcal research class we learned that there are four divisions of stuff plant mineral animal and teacher In this grade we were informed by friend teacher that we needed class officers Those we found to fill these needs were Dave Barn huzer as president Jack Fletcher as vice pres: dent Jim Shave as secretary and Martha Phil lips as treasurer all of whom led the cla s through our stupendously significant sophomore days Their successors in lOA were Dave Barnhlzer president Bobb Hoff vlce president Pat Morehead secretary Patti Clarke treas urer In the annual school Song Fest our extremely talented class was led by Beverly Namen and Evelyn Kudrna After winning second place we demanded a restuff of the ballot box but to no avail Mac s volce was maturing he now sang tenor A great many of us were fortunate and tal ented enough to be taken unto A Cappella There were so many that time and space will not allow all their names to be mentioned at this time lf you ve been wondering what keeps this school running so smoothly nts the close co operation between pupils and teachers on our governing
