Phase 2 e Heartbreak THE ATOM 1973 Franklin High School Franklin, Minnesota CLASS OF ’73 egad, what a year! Sponsored by BIRD ISLAND DEEP ROCK, Bird Island, Mn. HOMECOMING IS........... Making a fool out of yourself in the Senior skit. Being excited about being crowned King but not letting your feelings show. Almost (but not quite) going into the end zone for a touchdown. Trying to act busy while decorating goal posts so you don't have to go back to school. Trying to light a wet bonfire and finally succeeding. Marching down Franklin's beautifully paved streets, trying to keep in step. Becoming so excited that your friend is crowned queen, you drop your rose. Working hard to build a bonfire only to have it rain the night before. Cheering your heart out, only to have the team lose. Having your friend Hudda tell you, Gee, Brian, I would really like to help you out but I really do have to get back to class. Dreaming over the lead singers of 100 Acre Wood. Serving cake to everyone at the dance. Sponsored by LARSON'S ELECTRIC CO. Franklin, Mn. s, ■ to 1 k % ' 4 : T u LEFT: Martha is speechless, a rare moment, and MC Tom Gruendemann just laughs. A meal of ham, corn, and baked potatoes was served at 6:30, and the Grand March, open to the public, was at 8:30.
