Individual competitors won superior ratings at Solo and Ensemble Festival, Girls' Chorale, Male Chorale, and Bel Canto Choir each re- ceived a total of four number one ratings, an almost unheard of record of excellence in state competition. Records and competition scores mean nothing unless concerts are scheduled to benefit each Franklin students, his parents, andthe neighboring community. Several concerts throughout the year combined all vocal groups. Their sounds resonating throughout the building brought autumn, Christmas, Easter, and Graduation ioy into the hearts of all who attended. Vocalizing with the Male Chorale could prove to be exhausting and even those with formidable strength were easily overcome. Jerry Cau- dill discretely covered his mouth, but yawnecl iust the same.
