Holly Borcleau may have been looking for an elusive male, or maybe checking on styles. The males were few. Styles worn were numerous, styles danced monotonous soul line. Casual 'Tliose Were the Days' ripples Sophomore calendar Those Were the Days the signs posted around the halls said, in announcing the annual Sophomore Dance. And maybe they were. But to the casual observer it looked like any other hour dance after a game: no decorations, casual clothes instead of dressy ones. The 'Fabric of modern memories was fashioned into bermudas with knee socks, or new bell bottoms. The Solo Society provided soul music, with a heavy beat and plenty of volume, for dancing in the North Cafeteria 8-ll. In the end, it was a memorable February 8 happening. vlibqm ll ' , V X

it W 'r J . 3. Full of sentimental memories, Franklin alumni Pat Giovanni and Dave Sanford attended the Homecoming dance. Pausing during the half-time festivities were Bunnie and her court Patt Dun- ham, Sue Phillips, Rhonda Phillips, Diane De Santo and Elaine Nagano. Sideline teammates displayed their unending spirit as Soph Bob Hollingsworth took his place on the field. Prize-winning Junior class float, Shock It To 'E'm fleftl deserved that extra victory lap around the cinder track. Happiness could only have been ex- pressed with tears as Queen Bunnie Dollins accepted the traditional rose bouquet from Mr. John Graves.
