Counseling rejects olerking, regains personal touch With some of the huos successfully bombed out of the 'machine-scheduling process, counselors were able to spend less time on the clerical repair of scheduling errors and more on counseling than they have been able to do since IBM student programs macle the local scene two years ago. lt was welcome relief for them to get to know and to help their students on a personal basis. Furthermore, reorganization of student assignments to counselors on an alphabetical rather than grade-level basis helped counselors to become acquainted with stu- dents of various ages and stages of educational de- velopment. lt was no longer the 1'7th, llth, or l0th grade oFFice, but rather l A-G, H-O, or P-Z'f To Seniors Wendy Wallace and Linda Bourne, the choice of colleges was a tough one. Mrs. Shield helped them with information.
