David Dobson and Chuck Daugherty were faithful members of the Intramural Bowling Team. Ski Club members gathered together equip- ment for their after-school trip to Pine Knob Ski Resort. 5 ki Club, Intramurals provide diversified activities A variety of intramural sports was present at Frank- lin this year, appealing to the interest of a diverse stu- dent body. To some, Tuesday afternoons at Livonia Lanes was the place to be when the bowling teams, sponsored by Mr. Avagian and Mrs. Morningstar, performed. For those boys concerned with physical fitness, there was weight-lifting every Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Both ping-pong and pool were added. Although weather conditions weren't too coopera tive, Franklin's Ski Club successfully completed five trips and kept casualties to a minimum. Officers Patt Dunham, Walt Dondzila, Jeanette Joloin, ancl Joanne Dommer, to- gether with club sponsor, Mr. Gillis, organized a dry land ski school for all interested novices. i

Being bombarded during the bombard- ment game, Denise Theisen, Pat Richards, Donna Hanlon, and Maribeth Gientke ducked to get out of the way of a ball. battle students rebound victoriously Battling right down to the final buzzer, the Senior boys again defeated the male Franklin 'Faculty 5l-47. The game was hard fought and excitement ran high. The Senior girls got in the act by having a Bombardment Game before the big basketball contest started. Again the Cheerleaders , Senior boys dressed up as girls, led the cheers and created most of the 'Fun for the crowd. Proceeds from the game went to the Senior class to help pay 'For the Prom and other activities. Archie Leib brought the ball down the court and set up an offensive play for the Seniors. Clieering on the Senior team to victory Cheer- leaders Jerry Sabo, Dwayne Bau, Don Saelzer, Bob Joyner, and Dave Collins yelled it up and brought down an earful of cheers.
