The Red Cross blood drive took place in the school auditorium. Students who donated blood were given a form to be filled out in advance and signed by their parents. In order to give blood, students had to be seventeen years or older and were advised to eat before being summoned to the audito- rium. Each student gave one pint. After blood was drawn from the students and staff, they were given orange juice. punch or cookies. Why give blood? According to Dr. Abraham Hoffman, 'Tm doing it tor the goodies. Senior Eric Roeder said, MI knew there was a blood shortage. I'm afraid of needles, but donating blood is Hur a good causef, The Athenians coordinated the fall semesterls blood drive. These tests include answering a questionnaire, having a normal temperature, blood pressure and giving a blood sample. 2.
