The main purpose is to improve Christian ideals in young people, perform service activities for the school's benefit, and to enjoy social activities. The Hi-Y is composed of twenty members. The members held a swimming party at the YMCA. JUNIOR I-u-Y, 8th GRADE The Jr. Hi-Y is a religious organization with the purpose to grow in body, mind, spirit and service that we may become good citizens of our home, school, church and country. The four ships by which we sail toward our purpos e are good sportsmanship, good scholarship, good fellowship and good citizenship. These girls have sung two or three-part music all year and have accomplished a great deal in blending their voices and learning to sight read. They have performed on the Christmas Program and also on the Spring Concert. GIRLS' ENSEMBLE The girls' ensemble has had several members added and subtracted during the year. They sang for the Christmas Concert and also for P. T. A. in March as well as for the Spring Con- cert. The Lenten devotions for the school were sponsored jointly with the other Hi-Y and Jr. Tri-Hi- Y clubs. In conjunction with the Dramatic Club the girls served as usherettes for the school play. The closing social event was a swim party at the YMCA with the Hi-Y members. Two representatives of the club went to National Tri-Hi-Y camp. JR.TRLHLY CLUB The Junio r Tri-Hi-Y is an organization of the YMCA composed of Junior High School girls. The girls pictured are the charter members of this organi- zation. One of the se rvice s this group performed was to conduct some of the devotional periods over the P.A. system during the Lenten season.
