This work and that done in the wood and metal shop courses afford valuable and practical ex- periences for the boys. Along with home management and family care the Home Economics Depart- ment stresses correct social etiquette. These girls are learning the need and value of poise at an afternoon tea. MX Speedy, accurate and efficient typists are being produced in the R. H. S. Com- merce room. Time and effort in this field will bring practical rewards to all with secretarial ambitions. 53

Roosevelt artists have ample oppor- tunity here to develop their talents in the esthetic Held. Many exhibits during the year showed remarkable ability with pen and brush. What America needs is more careful drivers. R. H. I Here in the library reference material is available for all students. Perhaps the rnost popular spot is the periodical sec- tion. We must keep up on current litera- ture. More questions are answered here per day than on all the radio quiz programs. Miss Lamoree and Mrs. Bloomer patient- ly and efficiently attend to all the assorted clerical details of the school. The haven of hypochondriacs, the health room is more practically a source of great help to all. Here each student receives an annual physical examination and care for any minor injuries.
