S. on those various occasions when our fine band appears. At each assembly, at home football games, at the Harvest Festival and at special concerts the students have the opportunity to hear this versatile musical group. Since each performance means hours of serious re- hearsal, those who participate deserve every honor and recognition offered them. Three major appearances were on this year's calendar. Four band members - Stanley Paul, Robert Willets, Ernest Frank, and Robert Schwartz - played in the All-State Band in the Westchester County area, a great honor and privilege for these boys. On April 8 the Band appeared in its Spring Concert, resplendent in new uniforms, and on May 6 seven members participated in the Spring Festival in Hudson. The R. I-I. S. band is one of the most active groups in school and deserves sincere applause for its work throughout the year.
