CLASS HISTORY This was a year of ad work. We found ourselves faced with many and greater problems. We dort ee outstanding in all activities in which we had formerly participated plus being host to the Seniors at the Senior Prom. We were indeed a proud and happy class. It was with pleasure that we watched olen aahniere snr Betty Brodie, Evelyn Chavis, Johnnie Jeffreys, Elaine Strickland, Alice Stokes, Laura Le — eae Raymond Alston, and Ralph Brown Become members of the Crown and Scepter Club. Gladys roud, oa Whitaker, and Elaine Strickland were still doing their bit on the basketball team. Hazel Eaton, Virginia Ea oy Margaret Branche, Harvey Spivey, Johnnie Jeffreys, and Betty Brodie became members of a new group, the Dramatic Club. CHAPTER IV — And now we come fo the fourth and greatest year in the history of the class. With only 46 of us gaining the title, Seniors, we began to take ourselves seriously. For the last time, as a group, we elected with great care, the following people to office :President, Ralph Brown; Vice President, Elaine Strickland; Secretary, Evelyn Chavis; Treasurer, Frances Whitaker; Sponsor, Mrs. V. H. Levister. Juanita Young, Evelyn Chavis, and Elaine Strickland represented us at the Shriner's Debutante Ball in Louisburg. Their escorts were: Plummer Williamson, Ralph Brown, and Joshua Levister, respectively, Frances Whitaker represented us at the A.K.A. Debutante's Ball in Raleigh. Her escorts were Kenneth Harris and Joshua Levister. Johnnie Jeffreys, Harvey Spivey, Rueval Jones, Carter Lewis, Robert Lee Alston, Joshua Levister, Raymond Yarborough, Plummer Williamson, Kenneth Harris, completed their third and fourth years on the football squad. Elaine Strickland, Matilda Macon, Hazel Eaton, Alice Stokes, Bettye Brodie, and Johnnie Jeffreys received Crown and Scepter Certificates. Our Student Council members were Virginia Eaton, Elaine Strickland, Johnnie Jeffreys, and Joshua Levister. We journeyed to A. T. College, Greensboro, N.C. for Senior Day. A good time was had by all, The Juniors, treated us to an evening of fun and gaiety at the Junior-Senior Prom. Our work is almost over, for the shadows of graduation have cast their glow. What shall the future be? For some there will be college, for others marriage, the armed forces, or jobs. Whatever we do and wherever we go, we shall be making history for Dear Old F.C.T.S. GEORGE MILON wills to Bobby Yarborough his ability to pay debts and stop borrowing. OTHA PACE leaves his ability to steal out of class and disappear to Clarence Moles. JOHN TERRELL and GEORGE GREENE leave their stature to Sanford Johnson and William Davis. ELNORA WRIGHT leaves to Carliena Hampton her height to use on the basketball court. RAYMOND YARBOROUGH wills Rickie Lee Hill his football career (off the bench). JOSHUA LEVISTER leaves to Tracy Hawkins his sports ability. BESSIE WILLIAMS leaves her ability to get a husband to Shirley Lemay. JAMES HILLIARD and THOMAS JONES bequeath their ability to not study and get by in school to William Greene and Charlie Anderson. WILMA WILLIAMS wills her ability to stay in her seat and keep quiet to Odessa Kelley. KATIE PERRY bequeaths her eye glasses to Annie Joyner so that she won't have difficulty in reading.
