BY DIVISION On the fifth of September nineteen forty-two Nine and thirty girls and boys started anew. Eight months of study, work and play With a grand home-room teacher - Mr. Conwaye But ahi tis sad the news to tells Time took the teacher we loved so well. There was a dolefil look on every face, But we knew he'd gone to a better place. Nof He's not dead, he just resigned, We felt thet his canal we couid aot find. But time heals ali. things so they say, Thus with Mrs, Payton we went our Waye We bought T.B, seals and war stamps, too, For Uncle Sam our best to ce, To camp Thomas Southerland went to live, Would that we had more than one boy to gives Yet not cli was loss and sadness and tears, We had some fun and we go some cheers. tyxedo Junction we sang on the Big Broadcast, Erskin Hawkins couldn't better it (so thought our class). In the Reporter our literary hopes we realized, And at our number of drematists you'd be surprized. In music our voices blend: oven how. Pardon us, if we call our chapel program a NTIOW Time rolling by took many a classmate, Berta Cooke entered matrimony's blissful state Some stopped to farm, some changed schools, All sconcr or later will learn life's hard rules. Activity brought games to whet the wit Of singing ond marching we've done our bit. With class officers nll wos as should heve been A more capable group you've never scene But youtve met thom ell and so we'll say Good bye till we meet another day, When wetll all be seniors and tell you more, Wake up there?
