The three act comedy, Sunbonnet Jane Of Sycamore Lane 3 and the Junior Scnior Banquet. Mombers of the class were well represented in all extra-curricular activitios. At the ond of the Junior year the class lost one of its sponsors, Mr. G,V. Holden, to the armed forces. Tt is sad to state that the class ontored the Senior year minus the dignity that the instructors had tried to instill within its memborse Bhore was not tho usual gaicty at sceing old friends as so many wore trying to work conditions off. For cxtra-activitics the class rushed to the Frenklin Repor= ter, This being truc, it is sefo to say that the success of that paper this yoar is due to the members of the Senior class. Clarence Evans was clected president of the class and also president of the Student Council, Jacob Williams served his second year as editor of the Franklin Reporter. Herold Groen achieved the all time perfect attendence record of the class: for five years he has been neither absent or tardy. The main events of the year were: The Big Broadcast; the Senior play, Dying To Live ; The Junior Senior Picnic; ond of course Commencomente The class dectided to leave the school a number of small gifts instead of giving one big gift. Some of these gifts were: painting the Senior class room; a large United States flag for tho flag pole; and a cataloguo file for the Library. Now that the class has reached its journey’s end, it can look back over the four long yoars it has coverod with pride. While the class makes no claim to unusual greatness, it fecls that it has played its part at F.C.T.S.. And, in the future when othors wish to judge the merits of the class of 43, judge it by its motto -- Let Us Be Judged By Our Deeds . Justine Foster, Class Historian
