-' McGill, to the team members. Across the street in Martha Sego's dance salon is playing the name band, Keith Heiney and his Hoosier Maniacs. As we glidetacross the floor we see two eyes peering around the microphoneg they belong to none other than Carol Neese, ,who has just returned from her European concert tour. She- has the distinction of being the shortest soprano to sing at the Met. She is accompanied by Dan Fetterley, currently re- tired from the navy with the rank of admiral, on a uke. Not being in a mood for dancing we start on down the street. We see some of the other occupations enga - ed in the class of 53 . Arlene Rhodes and Norma Stark are vieing with each other to see who can recruit tie most able bodied men to join the Marines in Arlene's case, or the Army in Norrna's. Not wishing to join the ser- vice we walk into the Robinette Barber Shop. It seems the feature of this place is Ted's imported German Girls who have just finished a course in Bill McDonalds' Personal school of manicuring. If you want to secure advise on bird watching just go to the back of the barber shop and ask for Melvin Smith. As we stumble through the smoke filled room to collect our advise we see three engaged in a game of poker. They are Jim Woods, Bo Raney, and Merrill Smith. We have just been informed that Gwendolyn Allen has taken a job as secretary to the Supt. of Schools, Stanley Montgomery. Don Dunn is teaching a course in electronics: for the first time at FHS. Bob Stubby Garrison has been teaching shop classes for five years without a mishap. There is also a new band directorg he is Phil Humghey, toughest director the school has ever had. Annette Petro is teaching a Home Ec. course on how to attract an keep that man. The history job has been taken by Art Turner. The way the story goes he received a key ring for raduation and felt that this was his calling to the history teachin profession. Down from Purdue's teaching stafgwe have those former football stars Tom Scott, and Richard Vangleave, searching for material for the Boiler- maker's grid squad. Dick Coffey is seen dragging his mangled features down the street. It seems that last game he and his be- loved Rams played against the Chicago Bears was a rough one. As Judy Babcock walks pertly along the street, the information reaches our ears that she must hurry back to New York where the national convention for SAE house- mothers is being held. Just returned from Ethopia is WAC general, Alice Colin, and also walking along the thoro- fare is Mary Frazier, Madame Plaster from Paris , the noted sculptor. The town's leading industry is the firm of Janice Perry and Barbara Coffman engaged in the manufacture of space helmets. Esther Ramsey, top fashion model, has the contract for modeling and showing the headpieces. Seeing that all of the members of the Class of 1953 are accounted for, we pointed our three and a half eyes toward Mars and disappeared. I 27
