These third-graders have been found in the middle of their science activity period. The first two groups are observing the behavior of two of their pets - a hamster and a gerbil. Working together, they built the seven hills and then houses, temples, roads, the Tiber River and an aqueduct to carry water to Rome. These students now agree with those who say, Rome wasn't built in a day. It was an enjoyable way to conclude their unit on the Roman Empire.
