On Friday, October 27, the seniors congregated with Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Calhoun and Mr. Van Winkle at the airport to take off on the second senior trip to London. They were met by Mr. Biggs, dropped their luggage off at Hyde House, and went on a sightseeing excursion. They visited the Houses of Parliament fwhich had conveniently closedj, Westminster Abbey, and St. Pau1's Cathedral. Later in the evening they saw a mystery play, According to the Evidence. On Saturday, they boarded a bus and stopped by at Christ College in Oxford, then journeyed to Stratford-on-Avon. After a pleasant lunch near Ann Hathaway's cottage in Shottery the seniors returned to Stratford to see a performance of Romeo and Iuliet by the Royal Shakespearean Company. The only plan- ned activity on Sunday was a quick tour of the British tMuseum. They later saw the award- winning movie, A Man for All Seasons. Monday entailed a return to Westminster Abbey and a rapid walk to St. Iames Palace. There the seniors supervised the changing of the guards and escorted them to Buckingham Palace. Later they went tothe Tower of London to view the crown jewels and other historical objects. After dinner they had the good fortune to see Topol in Fiddler on the Roof. This was considered to be the highlight of the trip. The last day of the seniors' invasion of London was spent in viewing the Queen's procession for the opening of Parliament. The afternoon was free for shopping, and after dinner it was back to the airport and Frankfurt. The five days in London were certainly filled with interesting activities, and each senior will remember the trip as the high spot of his last year in secondary school. The Bread and Butter What upsets the Prime Minister is that pigeons get to vote next year. And now that you've trapped us, I Ue heard some of you are If only we had London fog in Oberursellu young ladies, just how do you plan to apportion colonists . . . the two of us among the three of you?
