Their major project for the year was the sponsorship of volleyball tournaments between homerooms during activity period. The G.A.A. members refereed after mastering the skills of the game themselves flower, lefty. Four games, complete with audience, were played each day at a fast and furious pace ftop left and lower rightj.

Band, while expertly twirling their batons. The girls work out various marching routines and pranoe in step to the lilting strains of music. During football season, the maj orettes developed several lively routines which were performed during halftime and played an important part in boosting spirit. The band and majorettes were sometimes combined with the drill team. This definitely proved to be a winning combination. During the festive Fasching season, the majorettes did their part to promote German American friendship by marching in several parades. The girls also helped the F.H.S. band to win second place in competition at Russelsheim, and nearly froze to death in the process fbottom lefty. As a climax to their marching year, the majorettes gave a special program at halftime during the basketball tournaments. 161
