Spinning the requested platters for students all over Europe, but especially for their classmates at Frankfurt, are Hugh Torrance and Sherri Reid. Carol Wells watches the disk jockies at work. Every Tuesday a group of F,H.S.'ers travel to A.F.N. to produce Teen Thirty. They have their scripts already written and the jobs for the day have been assigned. The members of the Radio Club must be versatile. They have a chance to perform one of the many jobs -- engineer, lVl.C., deejay, director, producer. Each show is complete within itself, with the engineer connecting on the air and coordinating sound and voice level, producer spinning the records, master of ceremonies introducing the show, the deejay reading the dedications, and the. director coordinating the whole operation. Other schools are encouraged to send in their news to be announced along with a run down on sports events and social activities that varies the regularlist of records and dedications. All of the Radio Club members agree that the production of Teen Thirty is worth the effort put into it. Others seem to think so too, for the show has received fan mail from as far away as England. Surrounded by transmitting instruments Bob McCoy coordinates the program. With the flick of a switch he cues in the other club members and changes from the microphone to the record player. Dennis Beasley and Jack Carter during a live performance relate the latest sports information for the fans at home while Sherri Reid, another member of the cast, waits for her cue to go on the air. ROW ONE: Left to Right, Robert McCoy, Carol Wells, Sherri Laverentz, Jim Burkhart, Helgard Voigt, Jack Carter, Charles Reid, Kathy Baar, Kathleen Jackson, Charlotte Richards, Terry Landry, Molly Duffy, Bob Miller, Robert Zamora. Torrance. ROW TWO: John Hinners, Knox Herndon, Alrita PS3'!'3?' 151
