It also helps students withtheir outside reference work by providing encyclopedias, dictionaries, and reading guides. Probably the most outstanding features of the library are the Vocational guides and the reference room. The latter has been the chief goal of Miss Henderson, the librarian. Once a classroom, it was recently converted 'into a supplementary research room where talks can be given, discussions held, and classes and clubs can meet without interruption. Another goal, improvement of the selection'of books, has slowly been realized since 1959. Inconnectionwith this, the number of books has increased from3,000 to 7,500. The audio-visual aids program, consisting of films and film strips, phonograph records, and tapes covering a wide range of material, is also closely connected with the library. The library assistants Wayne Carroll, George Ludergan, Diane De Bruler, Jenny Granlund, Alan Carey, Geary Turner' fabovej help Miss Henderson with the library to keep it running smoothly while they learn the techniques of library science. Here they are putting the College Bulletins in order. In the stacks, Where the back issues ofmagazines are kept, Barbara Duncan types file cards while Jill Mclntire organizes the issues by date Qtop rightl.
