LAWRENCE ROBERT McCOY Vice President Spring Term mm? Zecldana The Student Council Spring Elections were held during the first week of February. On Monday, the walls were adorned with a variety of posters, while hats and signs proclaiming the wearerls choice of candidate appear at every turn. The ,campaigning was fast and hectic, for only one day was allotted for the task. Speeches were given the following day during assemblies presided over by Scott Swedberg, outgoing Vice President, who had decided not to run again. The office of president was coveted by six eager politicians, five of whom attacked the first admin- istration in degrees ranging from subtletyto open criticism. These critics were answered by Steve Blake who was seeking re-election and was the last candidate to speak. Only one other office was under contest, that of Recording Secretary. Leona Aldrich and Bobbie Hines vied for the office. On Wednesday a perplexed, and indignant student body voted to retain the first administration with Bob McCoy joining them as the new Vice President.
