For example: Extra energy such as excessive yelling and screaming is saved for pep rallies, the numerous Holidays throughout the year allow the students to dress a little out of the ordinary, and the coming of “Senior-Itis” in January sets everyone on edge, even the underclassmen are looking forward to the next year. After an early defeat at Martinsburg and Hamp- shire, the Falcons regained their composure to accomplish an eight game winning streak. Their only other loss was with Martinsburg again. A Sectional Championship came by the Falcons defeating Petersburg for the third time. The Falcons won Regional Championship by defeating Berkeley Springs, which advanced them into the State Quarter Finals. The Lady Falcons left Frankfort High School on December 13 at 6:00 A.M. with the determina- tion and dedication to win. At 6:00 P.M. the Falcons met Sissonville for the first time. The Falcons held their ground in the first quarter with an 18-10 lead. In the second quarter, Sissonville came out with a press. The Falcons were ready for the press, but with three starters on the bench, it caused problems. Sissonville took the lead at the half and kept it throughout the rest of the game. Sissonville helped finish the Falcons season with 19 wins and only 4 losses. Thanks to our faithful reserves and coaching talents, our Lady Falcons enjoyed another satis- fying year. She has done an outstanding job with the girls throughout the years. 1985 was her last year coaching track at Frankfort. She has worked with and produced several outstanding girls. This year’s team has been especially rewarding for her. The girls’ team won regionals and sent 7 girls to state. At state the girls placed third overall. Cathy Kincaid took first in the long jump, 3rd in 110 hurdles and 4th in 330 hurdles. Mary Ann Clayton placed 2nd in the 100 and 200 meter dash. The 4 x 100 team (Mya White, Missy Whyte, April Young, Mary Ann Clayton) placed 2nd. Gail Aldridge took 5th place in the 2 mile and Teresa Twigg placed 7th in the shot.
