— “ss Lisa Harness and Margie Hill perform at the Spring Concert. Alan Coyle, Lisa Robertson, Mark Shaffer and Mary Brant wait for their bus. Approaching Summer With Mixed Emotions June 10. The final day of the school year is greeted with mixed emotions. Though anticipation of lazy summer days is exciting, these last moments are somewhat sad as students cast glances at friends not to be seen again until fall. Everyone is looking forward to a break in the work load and an end to the strains of the school routine. Sleeping in and spending a day at the pool are plans shared by teachers as well as students. But as the vacation goes on students find themselves ready to return to school. After being home for two months, boredom strikes the students while parents begin to wish there was no such thing as a summer vacation. So as we anxiously await the end of the school year we also wish it would never end. Those of us who have made new friends, made new memories, and reached new goals were proud of our ac- complishments. Surely, the last days of school are full of mixed emotions. The Graduating Class of 1982. 1982 has brought a variety of changes to the Frankfort Talon. This year a theme for the yearbook was brought into ex- istence. ‘‘Pride’’ is the basic idea seen throughout the book. There is also more copy than there has been in previous years. So when there is success there are people who deserve credit. Mrs. Ellen Arnone, journalism and yearbook advisor at Beall High School, and Ms. Denise Walker, journalism advisor at Bruce High School gave helpful hints and different ideas which contributed to the new image of the book. A special thanks is extended to them for their time and creativity. Thanks also goes to our advisor, Mrs. Brakeall who allowed and helped us to put these ideas into use. Ruhl Studios and John Smith should also be commended for their photography. Although it was difficult adapting changes and adding new ideas, the experience has been challenging as well as en- joyable. As you close this book on the 1982 school year, | hope you have found the material as entertaining as | have had in helping to produce it. It’s something to be proud of.
