There are a total of six courses offered in Social Science. Civics. World History, U.S. History, Current World Affairs, Sociology, and Government, plus Indiana History, for those students taking drivers education. As a junior U.S. History is a required course and as a senior Socilogy and Government is required. Teaching all these subjects is a tough job, but Mr. Rucker, Mr. Waddell, Mr Stuart, and Mr. Shepard, have proven that they can handle the task. Social Sciences

The speech and drama classes are under the direction of Mr. Henderson. First year speech is offered only to juniors and seniors. In the first year, speech students learn to walk. talk. sit. stand, debate and of course give speeches. If students like the first year, a second year is offered to seniors for advanced speech or drama. Advanced speech covers much more debating and goes in depth in speeches. In drama classes, students make and design the stages used in the productions here at the high school. For people interested in public speaking, speech is a must. Or if they just want to overcome their fears of standing up and talking in front of a crowd. Speech is worth the time to take. Speech Drama 20 Academics

With today's technology, business training is a major asset. Business background is a great help in college or in everyday life from learning basic typing skills to data processing in the computer world. This year's Business Department offers a variety of classes. These include Typing, Shorthand, Office Practice, Bookkeeping, Accounting, Computers, General Business, Data and Word Processing. Heading the Business Department is Mrs. Carol Knapp who teaches typing, word processing and also directs the C.O.E. program. Mrs. Prosser teaches typing, shorthand, and office practice. Mr. Cleaver teaches typing and computers. Mrs. Henderson teaches all the Accounting classes and also teaches business law. Mrs. Milholland teaches typing, business communications and Word Processing. Mrs. Humphery joined the business department this year in General Business and Computers after Teaching at the Junior High School. Business
