In Honor Of A Man Who Touched Our Lives ... Everyone must leave something behind when he dies... a child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die. and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you're there. It doesn't matter what you do ... so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that's like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching .. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime. — Ray Bradbury Fahrenheit 451 Dave Prosser was that gardener, and we need only to look around us to see evidence of his touch. ... This 1985 Cauldron Is Dedicated To David I. Prosser

The Foreign Language Department at Frankfort High School includes French, taught by Mr. Charles Herndon, and Spanish, taught by Miss Dona Irion. Participation in Foreign Languages have increased greatly this year. Approximately sixty percent of the whole student body is taking a foreign language course. A majority of these students are freshmen in the first year classes. Foreign Language classes not only study the language but they also research the culture and way of life of the countries that speak the language Cultural knowledge of the countries who speak Spanish or French give our students a better understanding of the language they study.
