BUSINESS Maybe you're wanting to enter the world of big business, and the business department at F.S.H.S. is the place to begin. We can offer you classes from accounting and shorthand to business machines, just to name a few. Maybe you can develop your motor skills by learning to breeze away on the typewriter. If you are successful in your business classes you may want to join the OEA club and when your Senior year you can be part of the COE program and work at a local business. You could also participate in OEA contest, to show off the skills you've developed. Whatever your choice may be, business classes are definite knowledge for the future. 23

HOME ECONOMICS When the aroma of homebaked cookies and rolls float through the halls everyone seems to pass by the cooking room. Our very diversified Home Economics department attracts many students. In the past Home Ec. was a class thought for girls, but today everyone participates in cooking, sewing, housing, family living, child care, and others. The HERO program and many other vocational training classes are originated in the Home Ec. Department. Here we find the Betty Crockers, Galloping Gourmets, and leaders of tomorrow. 22

IT l ART MS Our art department only has one teacher. Mr Sawicki. but this one man seems to have the super ability of five teachers. He offers many different varieties of art to the students When they display their work in the showcases it becomes apparent that our school has many talented and creative young adults who may someday be the great artists of our world. The classes range from ceramics to sculpture. Many beautiful and original items are produced in the art room, and every student should look in to the art program, maybe that's where you belong. 24
