CLASS HISTORY—SENIOR CLASS 1934 For the members of this year’s edition of Frankfort High School graduates, the memories of the past four years arc most pleasant. This Senior class, the largest to graduate in the history of the school, has spent four delightful years of hearty cooperation and friendly competition in various lines of activity and study. Individuals from this outstanding class have distinguished themselves in many lines, including speech, scholarship, music, basketball, football, track, and PING FONG. (Eh what. Hattie?) The latter was developed to its greatest extent in the library the first period under the ever watchful eye of Miss Zimmcrschicd. Skill in these activities was acquired during four years training within the stately portals of our dignified high school building. Last year, as Juniors, this class attempted its first large cooperative activity.—that of ' putting over' the Junior-Senior Prom. The result wds a complete success in both attendance and program. Then this year, the last for the class, the spirit of progressiveness and enthusiasm was carried even further when the Senior decided to arrange and present their own commencement ceremonies, utilizing talent from the class. This action marks a change of attitude and policy radically different from that which has prevailed in the last thirty-five years. Perhaps it is a step in advancement. We of the Senior class sincerely hope that this is the case. If it proves to be a failure, we shall say of it, as the government officials said of Prohibition. It was a noble experiment. However, it is our humble opinion that this new type of commencement will prove to be a success. No doubt in years to come the names of the graduates of 1934 will be entirely erased from the minds of the high school students. But by those who graduated in that year, the acquaintances and experiences of four years of high school life will be remembered and cherished for years to come. THE END
